How We Verify Prices
How NepalTechHub records model identity, variants, seller evidence, verified prices, freshness and price history for the Nepal market.
What NepalTechHub is trying to record
Our goal is to show useful Nepal-market price context for the exact product and configuration we can support with evidence. We do not treat an unverified number, a different model, a different RAM/storage configuration or an expired seller page as interchangeable evidence.
The verification sequence
- Identity: confirm brand, model and, where available, model number, SKU or part number.
- Variant: confirm the price belongs to the same RAM, storage, capacity, size or model configuration shown on the page.
- Nepal status: separate Nepal availability or seller evidence from global launch information.
- Source: record the seller, distributor, official source or other evidence URL used for the observation.
- Stock/context: consider whether the observed offer is current and meaningfully available rather than merely historical or out of stock.
- Verification date: record when the observation was checked so readers can judge freshness.
MRP, Best Price and verified observations
MRP is a published retail/list price when supported by an appropriate source. Best Price is the site’s selected current price under its verification rules; it is not a promise that every buyer will see the same checkout total. A verified price observation records what an eligible source showed for a specific configuration at a specific time.
What we do when evidence is missing
If a current Nepal-market price cannot be supported, we prefer an explicit “Price not listed” or review-due state over inventing a number. Missing evidence is a data-quality task, not permission to estimate.
Price history
Price History is intended to show source-backed observations over time. It should not imply a continuous market feed when only a small number of comparable checks exist. Configuration context matters: different variants should not be presented as one continuous price series.
Affiliate independence
Commercial commission does not determine Best Price. Affiliate and seller relationships are tracked separately from the evidence used to verify public price claims.
Prices can change after verification
Retail prices, promotions, stock and shipping conditions can change after our last check. Readers should confirm the exact model, configuration, final checkout price, delivery terms and warranty with the seller before purchase.
