Corrections Policy

How product identity, specifications, prices, availability and editorial errors are reviewed and corrected.

Phase 25A-1.0 Last reviewed Sep 3, 2026

How to report an error

Readers, brands and sellers can report a possible error through the Contact page or the correction/update links provided on eligible product pages.

What we verify before changing a product record

  • Whether the evidence refers to the same exact model, SKU or configuration.
  • Whether the source supports the disputed field rather than a nearby or related model.
  • Whether the issue is a specification, price, availability, identity, media or editorial wording problem.
  • Whether a live product changed after an assignment was created, which can require a fresh baseline/review.

Price corrections

A price correction should be supported by current price evidence and a verification date. An affiliate report or commercial request by itself is not sufficient reason to alter Price Truth.

Identity and duplicate corrections

When two public records appear to describe the same product, we compare model identity, SKU/part number, hardware and variant context before selecting a canonical record. Distinct exact SKUs should not be merged simply because their titles are similar.

Minor vs material corrections

Minor spelling or formatting fixes may be applied without a prominent public correction note. Material changes to identity, specifications, price evidence, availability, methodology or an editorial conclusion should leave an internal audit trail and may warrant a visible update or correction note when that context helps readers.

We do not sell corrections

A sponsor, advertiser, affiliate partner or seller cannot purchase the removal of a supported correction or pay to replace evidence with a more favorable claim.
